Nice place for relaxing and take leisure photography
It was very big. at least u need 2 hours in here if you want enjoy it . We can learn many things in here if love history.!
MoreIt was raining when we visited and the wind was so cold that we just decided to have lunch at the restaurant. The Saga beef steak was oishi! From the restaurant I can imagine how great a visit the park would make but unfortunately it was too cold for us.
MoreNice place to know the history. Climb up the towers to get the good view of park.
MoreGreat educational and fun park for the whole family. We were a family of 95 years old to 5 years old and all enjoyed the various parts of the park. We visited on a hot Oct day. There were vendors selling kakigori and other cold drinks. We used the free wheelchair for the grandma.
MoreGreat for a walk and getting an idea of the ancient times. The area is quite huge, so take your time here. You can have a look into the houses and there are some games for children. The museum is nicely made.Fun fact: Lots of Pokemon and Pokestops ;)
Moregreat and huge playground for kids, not too crowded given the space. I think they've got some really great stations like the bouncy hill, kids really go crazy jumping on that thing!!!
MoreA wonderfully reconstructed Yayoi Period village on the original site, surrounded by various recreational facilities. Multiple language (Japanese, English, Korean and Chinese?) pamphlets and information boards. Be sure to check out the exhibition room. If navigating using Google Directions, be aware it will send you to the back of the main entrance not the front or main carpark! As another reviewer said, follow the signs!
MoreVery beautiful historical Ancient moats and palace! Imagine you were travel trough time, and arrive at forth defending an invasion. Feel the war!
MoreThere's way too much information about burials than I'd like to know. Informative bit depressing :^<
MoreA great Park with a lot of stuffs to do. It s an enjoyable place to come alone or with your family.
MoreBest place in Japan to learn about the Yayoi Period. I was very surprised by the amount of rebuilt structures, there's literally dozens and dozens and you can enter most of them. The most interesting place for me was the archaeological site where visitors can see the remains of the kamekan (甕棺), large ceramic burial jars.
MoreVisited in January 2020. Sprawling archeological site featuring ancient ruins, artifact displays & reconstructed pit dwellings, elevated store houses from the Yayoi Period (300 BC to 300 AD), very eye opening. The park is extremely spacious, the staff suggests at least 1.5 hours of walking. If you don't have the luxury of time then just visit the south village.
MoreSo good to be here
Every elementary school student must come here. Very informative and interesting. Yayoi's story at its best. Prepare to walk, it took me around 2 hours to visit the site. I will probably come back.
MoreTotally worth the visit. There's more to Japan then samurai and civil war. This park present on a authentic restored site of the Yayoi era. It's a huge site with building were you can go inside with tons of information in english. Also, dont miss the burial mount with it's exposition on the funeral practice of that period.Give yourself a 3 hours to explore and appreciate the site
MoreVery huge park you can get lost in. If you are interested in anthropology, this is a slice of Japanese history not regularly seen. If you just want to walk around for hours, you can do this as well. If you want to bbq, play sports, go to playground, this park has that too. Because of the size, there are shuttle busses that will take you from place to place.
MorePerfect place to visit! We see lots of ancient buildings, living tools..., very nice, and the entrance is soooo cheap. I think this place will become national park in the future.
MoreGreat place. Fantastic kids area and big open green lawns for ball games etc. BBQ area and shaded areas to chill out. The ruins were really interesting and most signs had a QR code for English information. Also in Chinese and some other languages. You NEED time to walk the whole park. It’s massive.
MoreQuiet, large, and historical park near kanzaki station, saga. This park structure similar to the more modern castle in Japan. The castle may succeeded this typical park..
MorePlentiful of open spaces and historical artifacts built to scale. A fun place for the family amidst nature. The park is huge. For a start, take the free shuttle bus to go round the park. Then select places of specific interest to you. Bring along food for a small picnic (there are also provisions for BBQ on site) as the restaurant maybe fully booked up. Enjoy!
MoreIt is a wonderful park. I am really love.
If you have the chance to go here, please do! It's such an amazing site to learn about Japanese history. Be prepared to do a lot of walking! And try to come on a day with good weather!
MoreBest place to learn Yayoi era. You can walk and experience that making some historical tools.
MoreIf you are traveling by car, follow the signs for the East entrance once you get into town. That is the easiest access point. The park is essentially a reconstruction of a nation-state that existed during the Yayoi period. The park is actually pretty big and you can enter most of the reconstructed buildings. There are also activity centers and museums throughout the park.
MoreA very cool experience in Saga Prefecture. You can learn a lot about how early civilizations lived and there’s lots to see and do. Really fun stop close to Fukuoka and Saga city.
MoreInteresting prehistoric parc, nice reconstruction of dwelling
Fantastic park. Great kids play area and the historical ruins are really interesting and great to walk around.
MoreLovely big park, a million insects during summer. Great for insect catchers. Play area is super big. Largest climbing area is connected and very long plus sliding swings, bouncing area and loads of slides. Great for kids!
MoreNice place, very big, great!
Wide open spaces with a large trampoline for children up to elementary age. The playground apparatus are large and varied. Our kindergarten has a great time here. I'd recommend this park for anyone with children as there were many things to keep them entertained.
Morea good place to know more about ancient japanese history
The scale is very impressive as too the quality of the work in the reconstructed buildings.
MorePersonally I'm more so into going to a park to enjoy the atmosphere rather than being educated, because that's what you'll get out of going to Yoshinogari Park.
MoreA very interesting open air museum.
A lot of things to do here. The scenery was beautiful. The park is really big and full with interesting attractions. The entry fee is considered cheap with all the activities you can explore inside the park. The toilet is clean as usual. There are free lockers offered at the front gate.
MoreBig and detailed area. Very clean and good atmosphere. Descriptions on the plates for houses and other things should be more detailed.
MoreVery interesting with helpful volunteers
15 minutes walk (600m) from JR station. There are lift in the JR station, but it is not easy to find it. You can leave your luggage in 1, JR station coin locker (extremely small and expensive), 2, at the gate (someone said it is free of charge, but you need to walk 15 mins stony road with your luggage) 3, store at North exit (only 200 yen)You can also rent a bike (200 yen) at North exit, but since you need to keep the bike at the gate, you only need to ride 600m (one way).
MoreIncredible sense of history. The jar burials are astounding and very well presented. Plaques are presented in Japanese, Korean and English. Set aside at least 2 hours to see everything.
MoreInteresting insight into life in Japan almost 2000 years ago
Nice archeological site . Nice volunteer guide (Fuji san) told us of the story in English.
MoreA really large site, takes at least 3 hours to visit. Well preserved and full of information. A place worth visiting if you are interested in history. Within walking distance from JR station.
MoreIn the west we rarely are exposed to Japanese history prior to the Edo era. Yoshiogari Park gives us a view into the Yayoi period of Japanese history (3 c B.C. to 3 c A.D.) This fascinating look into ancient history was made all the better by locals and the volunteer guide who were all eager to share this slice of ancient life in their area with foreigners.I highly recommend taking the detour from the usual tourist stops to take in a little bit of history.
MoreA very enchanting historical site that must be visited to learn the ancient Japanese culture.
MoreThis area may not be considered as big of a tourist spot, but it has some unique areas. This archaeological site has been recreated painstakingly to show how the ancient people lived back then. For example, where the villagers kept their food, weapons and where they buried the dead.Despite being a little remote, this park is definitely a real deal!
MoreInteresting place to learn about yayoi period of Japan
Good reconstructions of houses, storages, and watch towers built around 2000 years go. You can touch the real Yayoi potteries.
MoreGreat playground for children. Also interesting historic site with a replica of an old village.
MoreA must visit place. Really special
