What is the name of Kitauchi Guo?

It takes a long time because the corner is wide. Because there is no shade, it is necessary to take measures against heat. There are many school visits.

What is the Yayoi language

I wonder if it was a language that connected to modern Japanese.

About fossils experienced at Yoshinogari Park events

I think Japan has the largest number of fossils. I think it's a great place to study ancient Japan.

From the station to the gate we think that it is enough if we see it for 20 minutes. But Because we used the bicycle rental 200 yen in front of the station, it arrived in 5 minutes and it was easy trip.

I thought it was useless in the hot summer. There was no shadow. Spring or autumn is recommended

How many minutes walk from Yoshinogari Koen Station

I will arrive at East Exit Gate in 15.6 minutes. While watching the tower, I will walk the road surrounded by the paved rice fields.

The opening time is

From April to May, from 9 o'clock to 17 o'clock From June to August, from 9 o'clock to 18 o'clock September to March is from 9 o'clock to 17 o'clock.

I will go to Yoshinogari ruins for the first time. I would like to hold the point and go around, but I would like detailed advice. Is it possible to ask for archeological tours and guides?

There is also Yoshinogari's homepage, but the guide for personal travel is a reservation requiring a limited date. There was also a voice guide. Please see the website for details.

Do you have an event for tomorrow?

It is the north entrance

When is this year's flower and green city?

It seems from 3/9.

Can a dog take me?

It looks like some OK. http://www.yoshinogari.jp/contents1/detail.php?id=164

It was raining when we visited and the wind was so cold that we just decided to have lunch at the restaurant. The Saga beef steak was oishi! From the restaurant I can imagine how great a visit the park would make but unfortunately it was too cold for us.

Great educational and fun park for the whole family. We were a family of 95 years old to 5 years old and all enjoyed the various parts of the park. We visited on a hot Oct day. There were vendors selling kakigori and other cold drinks. We used the free wheelchair for the grandma.

great and huge playground for kids, not too crowded given the space. I think they've got some really great stations like the bouncy hill, kids really go crazy jumping on that thing!!!

A wonderfully reconstructed Yayoi Period village on the original site, surrounded by various recreational facilities. Multiple language (Japanese, English, Korean and Chinese?) pamphlets and information boards. Be sure to check out the exhibition room. If navigating using Google Directions, be aware it will send you to the back of the main entrance not the front or main carpark! As another reviewer said, follow the signs!

Best place in Japan to learn about the Yayoi Period. I was very surprised by the amount of rebuilt structures, there's literally dozens and dozens and you can enter most of them. The most interesting place for me was the archaeological site where visitors can see the remains of the kamekan (甕棺), large ceramic burial jars.

Visited in January 2020. Sprawling archeological site featuring ancient ruins, artifact displays & reconstructed pit dwellings, elevated store houses from the Yayoi Period (300 BC to 300 AD), very eye opening. The park is extremely spacious, the staff suggests at least 1.5 hours of walking. If you don't have the luxury of time then just visit the south village.

Totally worth the visit. There's more to Japan then samurai and civil war. This park present on a authentic restored site of the Yayoi era. It's a huge site with building were you can go inside with tons of information in english. Also, dont miss the burial mount with it's exposition on the funeral practice of that period.Give yourself a 3 hours to explore and appreciate the site

Very huge park you can get lost in. If you are interested in anthropology, this is a slice of Japanese history not regularly seen. If you just want to walk around for hours, you can do this as well. If you want to bbq, play sports, go to playground, this park has that too. Because of the size, there are shuttle busses that will take you from place to place.

Great place. Fantastic kids area and big open green lawns for ball games etc. BBQ area and shaded areas to chill out. The ruins were really interesting and most signs had a QR code for English information. Also in Chinese and some other languages. You NEED time to walk the whole park. It’s massive.

Plentiful of open spaces and historical artifacts built to scale. A fun place for the family amidst nature. The park is huge. For a start, take the free shuttle bus to go round the park. Then select places of specific interest to you. Bring along food for a small picnic (there are also provisions for BBQ on site) as the restaurant maybe fully booked up. Enjoy!

If you are traveling by car, follow the signs for the East entrance once you get into town. That is the easiest access point. The park is essentially a reconstruction of a nation-state that existed during the Yayoi period. The park is actually pretty big and you can enter most of the reconstructed buildings. There are also activity centers and museums throughout the park.

15 minutes walk (600m) from JR station. There are lift in the JR station, but it is not easy to find it. You can leave your luggage in 1, JR station coin locker (extremely small and expensive), 2, at the gate (someone said it is free of charge, but you need to walk 15 mins stony road with your luggage) 3, store at North exit (only 200 yen)You can also rent a bike (200 yen) at North exit, but since you need to keep the bike at the gate, you only need to ride 600m (one way).

In the west we rarely are exposed to Japanese history prior to the Edo era. Yoshiogari Park gives us a view into the Yayoi period of Japanese history (3 c B.C. to 3 c A.D.) This fascinating look into ancient history was made all the better by locals and the volunteer guide who were all eager to share this slice of ancient life in their area with foreigners.I highly recommend taking the detour from the usual tourist stops to take in a little bit of history.

This area may not be considered as big of a tourist spot, but it has some unique areas. This archaeological site has been recreated painstakingly to show how the ancient people lived back then. For example, where the villagers kept their food, weapons and where they buried the dead.Despite being a little remote, this park is definitely a real deal!
